The Sabit was designed to be carried on the strong side hip for a reverse grip draw. This type of draw, with the Sabit, is extremely fast. The Sabit is already oriented to do its task as soon as it leaves the sheath. The Sabit can become an extremely effective defensive weapon with the proper instruction and practice.
The best instruction on this method of drawing a knife can be obtained by personal training from one of our instructors. All of our instructors have impeccable credentials, and years of experience, in numerous martial arts including edged weapons. Most of the instructors have combative military experience or law enforcement experience.
Snap cuts with the Sabit are highly effective. The point inserts very easily. The knife is balanced to allow for the most leverage possible with a snap cut.
Back cuts are also very effective with a Sabit. The shape of the spine of the blade lends itself to an effective back cut. We believe our Sabit allows for one of the most effective back cuts possible with a knife of this size. (For more information about back cuts, contact us.)
Although the Sabit was designed to be carried in a strong side belt carry configuration, it is also very effective when carried or mounted in other configurations. Customers have carried it mounted in we weak side configurations, in concealed shoulder sheaths, mounted on load bearing vests or body armor, and many other ways. The mounting configurations are only limited by the end users' imagination.
